Planned Giving & Bequests
Gifts by will are one of the most important ways you can support the works of the Anthonian Association / Messenger of Saint Anthony. Unrestricted gifts give us the greatest flexibility to use funds where they are most needed.
Gifting Information
Achieve your giving goals by partnering with St. Anthony’s Friars— where fulfilling St Anthony’s Mission is at the center of our work. Read personal and uplifting stories that reveal our benefactors’ forethought, devoutness, gratefulness, compassion, strength, determination, and optimism.
Planned gifts are a critical component in philanthropy. By definition, a planned gift is any major gift, made in lifetime or at death as part of a donor’s overall financial and/or estate planning. These include gifts of cash, appreciated securities/stock, real estate, artwork, partnership interests, personal property, life insurance, a retirement plan.
The benefits of funding a planned gift can make this type of charitable giving very attractive to both donor and charity. Some planned gifts provide life-long income to donor. Other gift plans use estate and tax planning to provide for charity and heirs in ways that maximize the gift and/or minimize its impact on the donor’s estate.
You may leave the Anthonian Association / Messenger of Saint Anthony:
- A specific dollar amount;
- A percentage of your residual estate (what remains after gifts to loved ones and expenses have been paid);
